ENTERTAINMENT ENGINEERS OFTEN WORK AT GREAT HEIGHTS ON LADDERS, SCAFFOLDING, CRANES, AND CHERRY PICKERS (WITH FALL PROTECTION) AT INDOOR LOCATIONS AND EXTERIOR LOCATIONS.
ENTERTAINMENT ENGINEERS WORK OUTDOORS ON LOCATIONS UNDER VARIOUS WEATHER AND TEMPERATURE CONDITIONS, EXTREME HOT/COLD, SNOW/RAIN.
ENTERTAINMENT ENGINEERS WORK INDOORS DURING THE SUMMER MONTHS IN SHOPS WITHOUT AIR CONDITIONING IN TEMPERATURES WELL ABOVE 80 DEGREES.
MOST FILM AND TV PRODUCTIONS HAVE LONG WORKDAYS, OFTEN STARTING AT 7AM OR EARLIER, AND WORKING 10 HOURS OR MORE.
IN PRE-PRODUCTION IN FILM WORK, AND IN SCENIC SHOPS, ENTERTAINMENT ENGINEERS ARE WORKING CLOSELY WITH OTHER PROFESSIONALS THAT ARE ENGAGED IN USING LOUD POWER TOOLS, CARPENTERS WHO GENERATE SAW DUST, AND SOMETIMES WELDING FUMES. PROTECTIVE GEAR IS WORN IN THESE WORK CONDITIONS THAT INCLUDE RESPIRATORS, SAFETY GLASSES, HEARING PROTECTORS, AND WORK BOOTS., AND MORE.
